 US-Houthis tension reason and background in details: On 14 March 2025,US conducted air strikes against nine anti-ship missiles and two unmanned aerial vehicles in Houthis area of Yemen

Since 14 March,the internet has been overfloaded with unrest scenarios of the Indian-Red sea area across Yemen's Houthis controlled region as th US conducted the strikes on Iran-backed Houthis.

Why did Houthis control the Red Sea trade route?

In the middle east the war between Hamas and Israel has been the central point of the world politics, where every superpower intended to influence their presence without their direct interference and Israel playing the front role backed by the US and Hamas by their proxies, since then the world has been divided between the two West and East.

 Israel does regular air attack and bombing in Gaza and has been openly helped and backed by USA and West world is becoming neutral in this matter when US supports Israel openly who has killed thousands of the Palestinians in the Gaza strip,and the eastern world specially middle east trying to keep the region peaceful and some as proxies in the war like Iran. Houthis control and attack the ships in the region demanding the ceasefire in Gaza and establishment of Palestinian state.

Why did the US conduct the air strikes against the Houthis ?

Ever since the conflict between Hamas and Israel has started, the passing of ships through the Red Sea has become extremely difficult as Houthis attack and capture the ships specially those ships that are related to Israel and US. This route has been the most important for the trade between southeast Asia and Middle east, Europe,Atlantic region and Americas. Since then the billions of dollars trade has been affected,and the most who has been come under this this is the US who does the trade of millions of dollars with the world and Houthis became obstacles for the US in their journey of trade in the region. The US wanted to conduct the operation to make the region safe for the ships so the trade should become easy.

The US' most threat is Iran who backed the Houthis in Yemen and as proxy with Hamas. Recently Donald Trump has won the presidential election of the US and has passed several executive orders by which he wants to influence the world. Trump tries to make a nuclear deal with Iran that has been rejected by Iran, because Trump in his previous presidential term has undued the same nuclear deal that has created for Iran the sense of distrust regarding Trump's promise. Trump is afraid of Iran's nuclear weapon development despite his sanction on Iran ,so he wants to take Iran directly to participate in the conflict or stop Iran from nuclear weapon development, because if Iran does so the US as the world leading country may be hindered as Russia and China come together to help Iran who are resistant to US' influence.

Why is the Red Sea so important when there is an alternate trade route through Cape of the Good Hope of Africa?

The trade route through the Red Sea is an artificial route that has been created by developing the Suez Canal through and under the control of Egypt since 1869. Through Suez Canal (Red Sea) the trade route is just approximately 193 KMs (120 n.miles) and the route through the "Cape of Good Hope" of Africa is approximately 8,900 KMs (5,556 n.miles), also time comparatively through Cape of Good Hope is multiplication of the time taken through Red Sea,so the difference between the two routes is comparatively huge. 

So for example if the price of "Fox nut" that is imported from India (approx 90% of the world's fox nut is grown in a state of India that is "Bihar" from where Aryabhatta who invented "zero" comes and that is the place of origin of Buddhism and Jainism) is normally ₹300 when trade is done through Red Sea Suez Canal ,this price increases sometimes by 50% to 100% when the trade is done through Cape of Good Hope due to trade expenditures and time taken by it.

What should be done right now to revive the trade through the Red Sea (Suez Canal) ?

The USA has the most influence in the world,so if the US honestly wants to keep the world peaceful they can do it by diplomatic and financial assistance with the rest of the world's superpowers and big economies,there are some points doing which it can be achieved.

Wayforwards: 

 The war must be stopped in Gaza,and it'll automatically end if US takes back its support to Israel.

The world should come together against terrorism and genoside wherever it is happening.

There should be diplomatic talks between the US and Iran,so the Iran-backed Houthis can be controlled. 

The world should come together rather than showing personal influence over others.

There should be cooperation with the 'International Court of Justice' so it can carry out its responsibility very well.

Human rights should be the major priority while executing any decision in domestic politics of the countries.

Capitalism less socialism should be a greater priority.
